Whichever you choose, I’ll help plan everything—from cake style to color scheme and outfit selection. All outfits and decor are provided by me! You’ll just need to bring your baby’s towel, bath soap, and an extra outfit for after the fun.

The Cake Smash Experience: From Start to Finish
Portrait Time
We’ll begin your fun-filled cake smash session with timeless portraits of your little one on a plain colored or neutral backdrop—depending on your style preference.
Family members are welcome to join in for a few sweet moments before we move on to the colorful cake smash setup to celebrate this special milestone!
Cake Smash Fun
Now it’s time for the main event—the cake smash! This is where your little one gets to dig in, explore, squish, and taste their very own cake.
Whether they dive right in or need a little encouragement, I’ll be there (with parents too!) to gently guide them and cheer them on. For the more cautious babies, I have a wooden spoon ready to help them warm up. It’s all about creating a relaxed, playful space where your baby can have fun and just be themselves—while I capture every sweet, messy moment!
Splash Session
We’ll end the celebration with a warm bubble bath—because what’s better than cake and a splash? Most babies love this part! I’ll gently guide them to play and splash in the bubbly water while capturing even more adorable moments filled with giggles and joy.

0nce form is recieved, via email, I will be sending a link to sign an agreement form, pay a $200 retainer (this will be deducted from your final bill) and fill a questionnaire so I can help achieve your dream session .

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK A CAKE SMASH SESSION?
Ideally, cake smash sessions should be booked 4–6 weeks before your baby’s birthday if you'd like the photos ready in time for the big day.
If you don't need the images beforehand, you can book anytime—just keep in mind that dates fill up quickly!
And remember, your baby is still "ONE" until they turn two—so it’s never too late to celebrate! 🎉
WHAT TO EXPECT ON SESSION DAY
We’ll begin with birthday portraits, where your little one is dressed in either their own smart outfit or something from my birthday wardrobe. Immediate family is welcome to join in for a few sweet shots!
Next, your baby will change into one of my cake smash outfits, and I’ll capture a few photos with the cake before the real fun begins—smashing, tasting, and exploring!
Once the cake fun is over, we’ll wrap up with a warm, bubbly splash session to get cleaned up and end the day with even more adorable moments.
WHAT IF MY BABY HAS NEVER TRIED CAKE BEFORE?
It’s a good idea to let your baby taste and explore cake—especially buttercream—a couple of times before the session. This helps them get familiar with the texture and taste, making them more likely to enjoy and dive into the smash on the big day!

HOW MUCH TIME DOES A CAKE SMASH PHOTO SHOOT TAKE?
Sessions typically last about 1 to 1.5 hours in my studio.

WHAT ITEMS DO I NEED TO BRING FOR THE CAKE SMASH?
verything your baby needs for their cake smash experience—from outfits and crowns to cake and props—is fully provided. Once your session is confirmed, we’ll start planning together to bring your vision to life.
There are just a few things I kindly ask you to bring along:
– A special outfit for your baby’s portrait session (unless you'd like to use one of mine)
– Comfortable clothes for baby to wear home
– Nappies, wipes, and your usual change bag essentials
– A drink (milk or water)
– A light snack, just in case baby needs a break
– Baby’s bubble bath and a soft towel for drying off after the splash
– An extra top (or trousers!) for parents—sometimes the mess is shared 😄
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MY BABY FOR THE SESSION?
It’s important that your baby arrives well-rested and fed (but not too full) to help them feel their best during the session.
Let me know what time of day your little one is happiest, and I’ll schedule the session to match—so we can capture their brightest smiles and most playful moments!
HAT TO EXPECT AFTER MY SESSION?
A few days after your session, you’ll receive a link via email to access your private, password-protected proofing gallery. From there, you can view the unedited images and choose your favorites for final editing.
Once your selections are in, your fully edited gallery will be ready for download within two weeks.
